HOW DID WE FIND LLOYD WERFT?

I saw a picture of ALBATROSS

After several years of searching for the perfect design and quality builder for our L'esprit super yacht, I came across a concept yacht called "ALBATROSS".

The Albatross superyacht concept was designed by Lloyd Werft in collaboration with Stay Sea Design. This Epic 410-Footer (125m), christened ALBATROSS, Hybrid Catamaran Concept uses wing-like sails to harness the wind. The eco-friendly cat is also equipped with solar panels and wind turbines. Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven is channeling the spirit of the world’s largest seabird within its new hybrid catamaran concept.

Albatross has been designed to utilize the wind, sun and sea in order to reduce its CO2 footprint and energy consumption by 40 percent, according to the German yard. Like its namesake, the multihull can soar across the ocean with very little (if any) environmental impact.

After several conversations, the management team of Lloyd Werft agreed to design a smaller version of Albatross for our day cruise L'esprit Yacht. They also agreed to our specifications of 230 Ft (70m) with two Ocean Wings sails.

The creation of L'ESPRIT

OUR MISSION is to build, and place into service, a series of vessels that are the first of its kind, eco-friendly, electric powered, sail-assisted, commercial superyachts.

Our eco-friendly vessels use wing sail propulsion called Oceanwings® capable of creating forward thrust of 10-15knts, which is sufficient for daily cruising without the need for turning on main engines. Each ship will have alternative propulsion from Pod Propeller Systems along with Dynamic Positioning Systems eliminating the need for coral destroying anchors. L'esprit yachts will utilize the top deck as a sun platform for cabanas, a full service bar, and pool.

Our L'esprit Mega Yachts are designed to deliver to each passenger, whether it be a tourist or an island resident, the enjoyment of being on the water for a day of relaxation, enjoyment and dining, making it a "daycation worthwhile".

Up to now has been responsible for developing the exterior design of numerous cruise ship newbuilds and luxury expedition vessels alongside various interior and open deck venues for various companies such as Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises in Miami, TUI Cruises in Hamburg or Silversea in Monaco.
